Why Create a Life Plan?
Why create a life plan?
Would you set off somewhere without an end in mind or start a business with out a business plan, feasibility study or vision?
Why then - with something as important as your own life - do we not set out with a life plan?
Ok, well some of us do but I would bet that the majority don't have a physical, rehearsed life plan. It seems sensible to know what you want out of life but how many of us take the time to think, draw or verbalise what it is that we, at the end our time, want. A life plan puts us in control - it is a route map to where we want to get to and making desired goals a reality. Doing so minimises the likeliness of regrets. A life plan is ultimately of your own doing, leading to fulfilment of dreams and happiness.
A life plan is not carved in stone. Rather, a life plan is best looked upon as a work in progress, reviewed and consulted at regular intervals so as to keep it current and appropriate to you. It's about checking on progress, tracking achievements and taking responsibility. High achievers design life plans that extend, push and challenge them to be at their best. This, balanced with a pragmatic and realistic approach, will help to keep you committed.
At the Mangrove Retreat you will assess your life plan. Using innovative and creative techniques through practical workshops and personal one-to-one sessions, you will see what's possible and understand how you can achieve what it is that you want.
