Key areas of focus:
Our two-day retreat programme will look at a number of key areas including:
- Lifestyle - The statistics are clear. Britain may have the fifth biggest economy in the world but it is ranked only 17th for quality of life (The Economist Pocket World in Figures, 2008); Workplace demands encourage smoking, poor diet & a lack of physical activity (European Heart Journal, 2008). Together, we explore what may be holding you back from having a more balanced lifesytle.
- Careers, work & profession - There is a growing group of dissatisfied and disillusioned individuals who feel that they are in the wrong profession. We consider what you can do to improve your current situation, whether a change is right for you, and if so, what are your next steps.
- Finances - Individuals struggling with personal finance are increasingly looking for advice on how to mange debt. This is buoyed by the constant pressure of ‘keeping up with the Jones’ alongside media coverage of the current credit crisis facing the UK. We look at how you can take responsibility for your own finances, and enable you to plan for your financial independence.
- Relationships - Relating with others effectively starts with how you relate to yourself. Understanding who you are, how you feel, and how this translates into the way you behave impacts on how you interact with others.
- Creativity & innovation - As children, we are encouraged to play and create, but as we grow older, this playful creativity is often stifled as we are led into a so-called ‘sound’ profession where innovation may not be tapped into. We explore your creative side and reveal how useful - and applicable - creativity can be in your everyday life.
The Mangrove retreat takes place at Great Tangley Manor, a unique and intimate Grade I listed manor house offering an idyllic setting where we may focus on you. Conveniently located near Guildford, on the edge of the Surrey Hills, the retreat caters to those with little time by offering a concise and effective weekend package that will enable you to start - and continue - implementing your desired improvements and changes from day-one.
Supporting your ongoing development
We believe the value of our retreat programme is only a portion of what you will gain from attending. It is important that your learning and development continues long after the retreat. For this reason, we have created 'My Mangrove' - a dedicated secure online members area to support you in your long term continued development.
